Dicero is a fast-paced casual roguelite developed by Habby, the acclaimed studio behind mobile hits like Archero and Survivor.io. The game launched globally on April 22, 2026, for iOS and Android devices, marking Habby's first major release of the year. Available in multiple languages including English, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese, Dicero has quickly gained traction worldwide, topping free game charts in markets such as South Korea and the United States within days of its release.
Dicero, at its core has a unique combat system that is heavily dependent on rolling dice and seeing where they land in battle. Players navigate procedurally generated maps and face waves of crazy cute enemies—from jellies that want to be evil, to brute-like foes with shields—and roll the Battle Dice within these encounters in order to unleash their deadly skills. There are also a dice mechanic — randomization definitely has its thrill factor: pairs, three-of-a-kind, and so forth grant multiplier bonuses; before attacking players can re-roll once or twice to pursue better results.
Highlight here is the Talent System where players throw dice and what they get depends entirely on luck. Rolling a 1-3 will grant blue talents, 4-5 gives purple talents, and landing a 6 awards the most powerful orange talents. The system is designed to make sure that each run feels distinct and every single dice roll matters.
Dicero features well over 100 different skills and an endless number of gear combinations to unlock, which means it encourages strategic depth. They allow players to create unique character builds with a focus on the various playstyles. Swordwave build hits enemies in clusters, and Greatsword does single-target damage which one shots tanks. Hammers give you area control and Staves provide elemental combos.
Five meta builds have already emerged amongst the gaming community: Swordwave (damage ratchet over time), Giant Sword (high-risk, high-reward burst damage that can lay waste to an entire team), Giant Hammer (offensive unit balanced on a knife edge between offense & defense), Poison(ideally suited for bosses as it passive does clear-time home delivery of DoT) and Mana Orb(Chainsaw-chain-attack effects excellent/mob hunter).
With colourful pixel art over a beautifully black background, and thick emphasis effects that make the combat feel great against enemies. The game is suitable for both rapid playthroughs and intense strategic development, catering to casual game players but still providing enough complexity to satisfy genre fans. There are no intricate, tedious tutorials — you can start playing straight away and watch your hero become stronger from every encounter.
Unlike previous games from Habby that were entirely ad-based monetized, Dicero is slightly mid-core in style. The game scales the incentive ads back and leans into more RPG progression systems, equipment synthesis, and gacha mechanics. Within the first 4 days of its launch, Dicero have generated around USD 716K in revenue on over a million times downloading.
The dice-rolling mechanic also is a fresh take on the roguelite formula, but critics worry that it might mismanage expectations: The ads look so casual compared to how deep some of those hidden systems run. Despite this, however Dicero is a fresh addition to the crowded mobile roguelite arena and sometimes it's simply down to dice rolls.
